Sarcoidosis is a multisystemic disease, which can involve any organ in the body. Similar to presenting signs and symptoms, imaging findings of sarcoidosis are diverse. Conventional radiography is useful in initial evaluation of pulmonary and musculoskeletal sarcoidosis.
Sarcoidosis is less common in children than in adults. In a 15-year study,79 the incidence of sarcoidosis was 0.06 case per 100,000 children 4 years of age or younger, increasing gradually with age to 1.02 cases per 100,000 children who were 14 to 15 years old.
