High Energy Photon Therapy

This is a novel technique to cure cancer which uses high-energy protons for the radiation. Protons have the ability to penetrate deep into the skin only in a specific area without affecting the superficial tissues such as skin, thus showing less side effects and ability to target a specific tissue. Nevertheless, this is still developing and is expensive and limited to treat only certain types of cancers. Scholarly peer review is the process of subjecting an author's scholarly work, research, or ideas to the scrutiny of others who are experts in the same field, before a paper describing this work is published in a journal. The work may be accepted, considered acceptable with revisions, or rejected. Peer review requires a community of experts in a given (narrowly defined) field, who are qualified and able to perform reasonably impartial review.
