Stereotactic Radiation Therapy

Stereotactic radiation therapy is a specialized therapeutic method used to target the tumor cells. This is an extra beam radiation therapy which helps to deliver the radiation doses with extreme accuracy. This method can specifically detect and kill small tumor cells. The treatment has several advantages such as usage of narrow beams, well defined targeting and precision etc. This is used in treatment of gliomas brain metastases, meningiomas, acoustic neuromas, arteriovenous malformations. Scholarly peer review is the process of subjecting an author's scholarly work, research, or ideas to the scrutiny of others who are experts in the same field, before a paper describing this work is published in a journal. The work may be accepted, considered acceptable with revisions, or rejected. Peer review requires a community of experts in a given (narrowly defined) field, who are qualified and able to perform reasonably impartial review.
