Proteomics and Biomarker is a special peer-reviewed proteomics journal published as a special issue this year by Journal of Proteomics and Bioinformatics. Proteomics and Biomarker covers scientific research in the field of translational proteomics with an emphasis on the application of biomarkers in their increasing role in diagnosis, characterization, and therapy of various marked diseases. This page includes information about the aims and scope of Proteomics and Biomarker, editorial policies, open access and article processing charges, the peer review process and other information. For details of how to prepare and submit a manuscript through the online submission system, please see the instructions for authors.
Proteomics and Biomarkers journal is an open access, online, medical journal. Biomarkers are physical, functional or biochemical indicators of physiological or disease processes and can provide vital information in determining disease prognosis, in predicting of response to therapies, adverse events and drug interactions, and in establishing baseline risk. The explosion of interest in biomarker research is driving the development of new predictive, diagnostic and prognostic products in modern medical practice, and biomarkers are also playing an increasingly important role in the discovery and development of new drugs.
Proteomics and Biomarkers journal includes a wide range of topics in this field and creates a platform for the authors to make their contribution towards the journal. The Journal seeks high-quality submissions and welcome contributions in biomarker, genetic marker, screening, cancer biomarkers and biomarker toxicology. The audience for Proteomics and Biomarkers includes academic and industrial researchers, clinicians, pathologists, clinical chemists and regulatory professionals.
A major goal of the special issue Proteomics and Biomarker is to publish papers that identify and fill scientific knowledge gaps at the junction of basic research and human applications in the field of biomarker discovery. It will help in prevention, diagnosis, or treatment of disease, which serve as templates for future explorations and investments in the field of translational medicine and transform our understanding of human biology or catalyze new directions of explorations toward improved human health. Finally, we will publish papers that meet rigorous criteria of excellence and innovation, while providing authors with prompt and expert editing and peer review. All manuscripts are strictly peer reviewed and confirm the highest ethical standards. We accept original research, as well as Reviews, Perspectives and Commentaries.
