It is my pleasure to write this editorial for journal of Journal of Biosensors & Bioelectronics. Here are some quick tips for writing a quality research paper and getting it published in a scholarly, academic journal. First thing to consider while submitting a research article to a journal is always stick to the area and scope of the journal i.e., explore all candidate journals and find out following details about the journal: Aims and scope, types of accepted articles, readership etc., and choose and submit accordingly. Next thing is to carry out exhaustive literature survey of the abstracts of recent publications to ensure novelty and originality of your work. Always adheres to publication ethics and avoid plagiarism of others’ work. Also, avoid multiple publication of the same work, verbatim copying of large portions of previously published parts of own research, never submit your manuscript to more than one journal at a time. Always remember to cite and acknowledge others’ work appropriately. Try to make it a point, only list co-authors who made significant contributions to your research. Finally, the most important tip is to follow the journal’s guide for authors and try to stick to the guidelines for author’s while preparing your manuscript, editors do not like wasting time on poorly prepared manuscripts. Writing a research paper is a very important step for strong career growth, like all good skills it also takes time to build up, it gets easier with practice and with time it comes as a natural flair. So, treat it accordingly and don’t wait any longer. Start writing and submitting your academic research now.
