Abstract

This data synthesizes research on diet’s profound influence on chronic disease. Healthy dietary patterns like Mediterranean and DASH diets are consistently protective against cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, and cancer. Plant-based diets improve diabetes management, while dietary fiber supports gut health and reduces inflammation. Conversely, ultra-processed foods and sugar-sweetened beverages increase disease risk. Omega-3 fatty acids mitigate inflammation. The findings advocate for holistic dietary quality and targeted interventions to prevent and manage chronic conditions effectively.
