Abstract

Identification and Treatment of Cyber Bullying

Ronald Bell G, John Lipinski, Laura M. Crothers and Jered B Kolbert

Within the last decade, cyber Bullying has become a popular topic discussed in the mainstream and educational literature bases, and rightfully so, since the effects of this form of peer harassment can be devastating for its victims.A number of articles and books have explored the definition, characteristics, and effects of electronic victimization, but less attention has been devoted exclusively to the aggressors themselves. The purpose of this article is tosummarize what is known about cyber Bullies from the existing literature and identify interventions for bullying thathave received empirical support and which may have potential for working with perpetrators of cyber Bullying.
