Cardiac patients may collapse in the dental clinic due to various cardiac emergencies or drug interactions. Hence, patients with cardiac disease may pose a significant risk in dental clinics. Multidisciplinary approach while treating medically compromised dental patients is mandatory to reduce complications and to achieve satisfactory results. This article gives an overview of inter-relationship of cardiac and dental pathogenesis and also aims to make recommendations that need to be followed in dental clinics while treating patients with associated cardiac problems.
