Sports Physiotherapy is the special branch of physiotherapy that deals with the injuries related to sports. It focuses on prevention, evaluation, treatment, rehabilitation, and performance enhancement of the physically-active individual. These are different from the normal injuries and require extreme care. Sports physiotherapy includes those interventions that assist the athletically-active individual in preventing injuries and then, if an injury occurs, continuing their pursuits with minimal disruptions.
Peer review refers to the work done during the screening of submitted manuscripts and funding applications. This process encourages authors to meet the accepted standards of their discipline and reduces the dissemination of irrelevant findings, unwarranted claims, unacceptable interpretations, and personal views. Publications that have not undergone peer review are likely to be regarded with suspicion by academic scholars and professionals.
