Ingrown toenails are a common condition in which the corner or side of a toenail grows into the soft flesh.

pain, redness, swelling and, sometimes, an infection

Soak the foot in warm water 3 to 4 times a day if possible. After soaking, keep the toe dry, Gently massage over the inflamed skin, Place a small piece of cotton or dental floss under the nail. Wet the cotton with water or antiseptic.

The nail surgery procedure is performed using a local anaesthetic very similar to those used by dentists. You will feel absolutely no pain once the anaesthetic has taken effect. Once your toe is anaesthetised we can solve your in growing nail / painful nail problem. When we have finished, your toe will still be anaesthetised when you leave the practice, so it is important to note for your own comfort and safety we recommend you don’t drive yourself home.
