Abstract
PDO Threads are threads which yield spectacular rejuvenation results. The application of the thread is practically non- invasive and painless, leaves no scaring, cuts and the minor redness will disappear within a few days. In addition, you can apply it almost anywhere on the body! The threads were created as an alternative for patients who do not want to go down the route of surgical face lift but still want the effects of a surgical face-lift. Threads are used for rejuvenation, improving the structure of face, neck and d?collet? and breasts, buttocks, abdomen or even elbows and knees! Threads provide natural and youthful appearance of the skin and protect against wrinkles for a long time. They are made of soluble PDO (polydioxanone) which is absorbed in eight months, and the effect lasts about two years. PDO is a material known and used in medicine for many years. So far, it has mainly been used in surgery. However, five years ago, a Korean doctor revealed research which showed that the PDO thread, used in conjunction with acupuncture, relaxes the muscles and tendons. For two years, this method is used by physicians in aesthetic medicine throughout the world. Based on clinical observations, it was found that the PDO stimulates tissue neocolagenesis process, which stimulates the production of new collagen. In addition, activation of fibroblasts results in stimulating the synthesis of elastin. It was also found that the effect of polydioxanone causes the synthesis of natural (endogenous) hyaluronic acid. PDO thread is placed in a sterile, very thin needle with which is placed in specific areas of the body. Depending on the location, the threads are introduced into the skin, the subcutaneous fat or muscle. It improves skin texture - it becomes thicker, tighter, firmer and improves colour, and then narrows the pores. It also smoothens fine lines. The length of the thread varies. Shorter strands are ideal for revitalizing and smoothing fine lines around eyes, twisted, thicker strands injected intramuscularly in the forehead act as an alternative to Botox - the aesthetic effect is more natural than the injections of botulinum toxin, as it does not paralyses the muscles, only to weakens the influence of their actions - the muscles are relaxed, and thus, facial skin is smoother. With long PDO threads oval face can be corrected. Entering the PDO thread into the skin will give immediate improvement in the appearance. After about 10-14 days, the process of natural body protein synthesis begins and continues throughout the period of holding the threads in the body (about two years). Biomimetic Skin Rejuvenation with Nano peptides technology having used the product herself in her clinics in Northern Ireland and London. Her experience with this product is like no other in the UK. The nanopeptide technology offers a non-surgical approach to skin rejuvenation by superficially injecting small amounts of the solution into the dermis. Peptides represent short chains of amino acids that occur naturally in human, plant and animal organisms. Their rejuvenation works by stimulating the skin cells to synthesize collagen and elastin. With age, the number of natural peptides decreases and their synthesis slows down. As a result wrinkles, furrows and pigmented lesions appear on the skin and it loses flexibility and moisture. This is where biomimetic peptides come in use. German biologist Professor G?nter Blobel started studies on peptides and was awarded the Nobel Prize in 1999, for his work on the mechanism and identification of signals managing the transport and localization of proteins in cells. The use of peptides in mesotherapy gives results that imitate the biological conditions found in young healthy skin. Different peptides stimulate different areas, for example acetyl decapeptide - reduces and prevents lines and wrinkles by actively generating new skin cells. Each treatment has up to five different peptides working within it. The product we use for skin rejuvenation contains a biomimetic peptides complex to rejuvenate ageing skin and decrease wrinkles while stimulating wound healing and regenerating new skin cells. Biomimetic peptides take the concept of skin care to new levels of effectiveness and results that imitate the biological conditions found on young healthy skin. This revolutionary new mesotherapy can reverse the ageing process by around 20 years. The nano capsulation delivery system is like small balls, which engulf the active ingredients in their core. Once they reach the cells membrane they open and release their content allowing the maximum delivery of active ingredients to the target area. Using nanopetides mesotherapy skin rejuvenation mesotherapy and PDO threads in conjunction with each other we will achieve more youthful, tighter skin.
Biography
Gabriela Mercik is Medical Director of Hebe Anti-Aging and Aesthetic Medicine Clinics. Her research career began in Poland 16 years ago in Cardiology and Internal Medicine. She carried out research in field of LDL-apheresis and published in the American Journal of cardiology. Since 2008 she has been working in hospitals in Northern Ireland in general medicine, cardiology, palliative care and rehab departments. She developed an interest in aesthetic medicine and has studied skin rejuvenation. She developed her own protocols for mesotherapy and for threads. She provides courses in biomimetic mesotherapy, PDO beauty lift threads, dermal fillers and botulinum toxin, training doctors and nurses all over Europe. She practices cosmetic medicine in her clinics in NI and London. Her experience has led to her being requested to speak a many conferences all over the world. Her Company received a very prestigious Award the ?MyfaceMybody? Award for The Best Antiaging Treatment Biomimetic Mesotherapy with Nanopetides in UK 2013.
