Abstract :

M agnesium disorder are the most fascinating and challenging disorder in pediatric and adult world. Renal magnesium handling is complicated but interesting. Most of the tubular disorder and various CaSR disease are new evolving disorder with detail genetic mapping. All these disorders are well elucidated and a diagostic dillema when posed a disease in nephrology world. I will describe the physiolgy and renal handling of magnesium, discuss the role of drug induce hypomagnesemia and approach to magnesium disorder. I will describe the varius genetic disorders, diagnostic algorithm and management of hypomagnesemia. I will also discuss the hypermagnesemia mangement and emergent treatment of electrolyte disorder associated with it. I will use case based approach
