Abstract:

In this session facial aesthetics are reviewed along with a practical guide to understanding and using the most popular minimally invasive facial aesthetic material. Botulinum toxin preparations will be reviewed with regard to indication, safe application, and documentation from a dental perspective.Additionally, the biology, pharmacology, and application of facial fillers including hyaluronic acid, poly-l-lactic acid, and calcium hydroxyapatite will be discussed. Many patient examples and practical approaches will be reviewed so that the attendee will feel comfortable in being able to discuss and consider implementing these techniques with their patients.
