Abstract:

Autoinjector device performance is greatly impacted by primary container quality. In order to ensure a robust design, a thorough forensic analysis of all variables need to be understood as they effect performance. From this understanding specifications can be derived in order to ensure a successful injection every time. This presentation outlines how to practically observe variation in primary packaging as it relates to device performance and then links this gained knowledge to how to derive a robust specification.
