Abstract :

Changing in multiple factors such as globalization, rapid urbanization and health transition, climate changes and transnational/ regional activities associated behavioral changes have increased the risk of transmission of communicable diseases worldwide. The next generation surveillance and response approaches including digital health; digital media intelligence and genomics / next generation sequencing (NGS) provides new frontiers and paradigm shift in public health management. The paper explores their new insights and implications of next generation surveillance and response approaches in strengthening and guiding decision making policy in the communicable diseases prevention and crisis management. Particularly, modelling epidemics surveillance and response intelligence systems in instilling the development of sustainable local, national and regional risk communication management, vigilance and preparedness are being explored. Hence, improving diagnostic and early detection effective to timely evidence-based public healthcare resilience in epidemics prevention and emergency response, quality health systems and personalized care delivery.
