Abstract:

The purpose of this paper is to identify why there is this setback in the Clinical Research (CR) in India although the required resources and infra structures are available at the stretch of the hand and to set forth the opportunities in improving the clinical research with a hope that there will be substantial investments at an individual level, to bear good fruits in near future. As the title speaks for itself, though the current status of CR is not at all appealing which is evident by the ban of trials, it must rather be taken up as an opportunity to rise to next levels than making it another topic of never ending debate or criticism. Responsibility, trust, reasoning, accountability and charity are the pointers where the links of improvement exist. When we put these 5 pointers practically into the areas where we have failed, we will be able to see a whole new paradigm of Clinical Research in India, and this time not on the road of failure but on the road of success.
