Abstract
Despite the generally high standards of living enjoyed by some of Sudanese, not all adults experience a maintainable level of oral health. Beside there is a high rates of bad oral health among middle living standards. Typically, adults who face greater financial constraint have more untreated oral disease and more missing teeth compared to more advantaged adults, while evidence for social inequality in adult oral health is established. The pathways that connect social position to oral health are not well understood to date. Many researchers have been talking about the oral health instead of scooping the social and economical life of Sudanese that affects directly on their oral health. On the other hand the oral health of children has insight very noticeable degraded in the last few years among school children and university young people in all life standards. While these findings demonstrated strong evidence for associations between socioeconomic position, psychosocial resources and dental behavior. The impact of economical disturbance that reached every mid and low level standard Sudanese affects directly on their own health not to mention their oral health and hygiene, plus the clinical care in lots of domestic and private clinics is below standard in general supplies and equipments. Management and measures of preventive treatment is either in high cost or not available regularly. And according to latest data, Khartoum state shows bad oral habits regarding children and adults from all genders. This presentation will discuss the relation of social life impact on Sudanese and the economical levels toward their oral health and their children besides the lack of supply and profession in many aspects of dental field in Sudan. And will give a short brief about a young doctor?s initiative that took place in Khartoum to help in supporting urgent cases that hardly find the proper treatment by a anonymous donors to raise the general health level and increase the awareness in specially dental and oral health and supply free dental check-ups for random patients with a full preventive instructions.
Biography
Montaga M Elameen is a dental practitioner in private clinic in Khartoum. He graduated with Honor in Maxillofacial Surgery and is a member of Health initiative support in Khartoum. He works in humanitarian support organizations for better health and oral habits.
