Abstract :

This topic is referring to the amazing sudden death, from cardiovascular causes, of young people and how we can prevent this unhappy event. Is it possible to develop a protocol to better manage this situation? Can we control this phenomenon? How can we save many lives at young age? Starting from the mentality of the young people that say "I'm young and I'm healthy", I have written this book to be an alarm signal for young people in general and young athletes in particular, but also for the physicians who are required to have a very serious and responsible attitude in their medical daily practice. A young person is not necessarily healthy. Sometimes, a hidden cause of cardiovascular disease may become evident during high physical effort, like in sportive competitions, putting the young life in danger of cardiac arrest. This is the main reason why I have decided to write this book, after many observations of real life cases, and because I think, as physicians, we can make something very important for these young people to prevent the sudden death at young age. This book tries to cover all the cardiovascular causes of sudden death in the young and the original clinical cases from every chapter showed the real cause of the problem unexpected and unknown. We have to employ high efforts in our medical practice to decrease the mortality at young age.
