In the preceeding paper we have revealed an enormously increasing effect of 6-chloronicotinyl group on the insecticidal potency in 2-nitromethylene-imidazolidine series. 1 ) Here we have turned our attention to the nitroimidazolidine moiety. In our search for latent bioactive substances by changing or modifying the multi-functional heterocyclic ring the title compound, a nitroimino derivative, was found as one of the most active insecticides in this class. The present paper deals with 6-halonicotinylimidazolidines bearing various functional groups in the skeleton.
