Abstract Concurrent with the AIDS epidemic, an increasing incidence of tuberculosis has been noted. In HIV-infected patients with immunodeficiency, atypical forms of tuberculosis are seen. A case of disseminated tuberculosis with septic shock in an elderly patient with previously unknown HIV infection is reported.
