Abstract Amelogenesis imperfecta (AI) is an inherited disorder which results in enamel defects. The presentation of AI can vary depending on the type and severity of AI. The management of this condition is important for the patient, both functionally and aesthetically. This report describes the management of a young man who was referred to Birmingham Dental Hospital with AI. The patient's primary complaint was the appearance of his front teeth and the sensitivity he was experiencing from his worn molar teeth.
