Abstract Broken heart syndrome or stress-induced non-ischemic cardiomyopathy (SICM) has rarely been reported in the setting of myasthenic crisis. We describe a case of reversible SICM that occurred simultaneously with myasthenic crisis in a 77-year-old man without prior cardiac history, and we discuss the previous findings that support an association of other cardiac disorders with myasthenia gravis.
