Abstract Trichosporon asahii fungemia was associated with multiple, purpuric, papular lesions on the abdomen and extremities in a 53-year-old man with acute myeloblastic leukemia. Histologically, budding yeasts were demonstrated in the dermis. The yeast-form fungus was identified as T. asahii.
