Abstract Share this page

The current work is an effort to study the effect of Nic kel meta l powder addition in flu x, on the impact strength, bead height and bead width , of IS 2062 steel during submerged arc weld ing. The effect of Nicke l metal powder addition on fluxes by keeping the welding parameters like weld ing voltage and welding speed constant has been evalua ted. Taguchi technique has been used for the design of e xperiments. The effects of flu x, voltage and travel speed have been evaluated on the impact strength, bead height and bead width . The effect of a ll the input para meters on the output responses have be en analyzed using the analysis of variance (ANOVA )
