Abstract Share this page

Chemical compositions of bone (femur), bone (rib), brain (whole), spinal cord, heart (whole, auricles, right and left ventricles), kidney, liver, lungs, muscle, ovaries, pancreas, spleen, and tongue are given for an average human adult. Photon mass attenuation coefficient μ and mass energy absorption coefficient for these tissues are given for photon energies ranging from 15 KeV to 2 MeV.
