Abstract Share this page

Abstract A patient with traumatic amputation of 4 digits was rehabilitated with implant-supported digital prostheses. Implants were placed in the residual bone structure of the thumb, index, middle, and ring fingers. After osseointegration was complete, custom-designed retentive attachments and silicone digital prostheses were fabricated to restore the natural appearance of the hand, and some degree of tactile sensation was also achieved.
