Abstract A case of schwannoma occurring in the right lateral ventricle of an 8-year-old boy is described. The child made an excellent recovery. Three years later there is no evidence of recurrence. The precise origin of such an unusual tumor is uncertain, but it probably arises from the sympathetic nerve supply to the choroid plexus.
