Abstract Drug-induced hepatotoxicity is an important cause of hepatocellular injury. Non-nucleoside retroviral transcriptase inhibitors are known to cause hepatotoxicity. We describe a detailed case of fulminant hepatitis induced by nevirapine (Viramune) and treated by liver transplantation.
