Abstract Share this page

The fabrication of a custom-fitted ocular prosthesis has been described in sufficient detail to enable any prosthetist to carry out the procedures. Ocular prostheses produced by this method are the most esthetic and comfortable possible; they should be provided for all patients who require such prostheses. The prosthetist should not be discouraged if he does not attain optimal results in his first endeavor; as in any other prosthetic treatment, experience is as necessary to success as is didactic knowledge.
