We have determined the Burgers vector of dislocations formed During the thermo-mechanical treatment needed to induce the two way memory effect in a CuZnAl alloy. This quantitative analysis was performed in the very highly anisotropic β1, phase (A ∼- 15) by computer simulations of the contrast of dislocations observed in a transmission electron microscope. Interesting geometrical characteristics of the dislocations were found, which give a further information about their origin.RésuméNous avons realise des determinations des vecteurs de Burgers des dislocations formées pendant le traitement thermo-mécanique nécessaire à l'induction du double effet mémoire dans un alliage CuZnAl. Cette analyse quantitative a été faite dans la phase β1 très anisotrope (A ∼- 15), au moyen de techniques de simulation à l'ordinateur du contrast des dislocations observées au microscope électronique en transmission. De plus, nous avons trouvé des characteristiques géométriques très interesantes de ces dislocations, qui donnent une indication sur leur origine.ZusammenfassungWir haben den Burgersvektor der Versetzungen bestimmt, die sich während der für die Erzeugung des Zweiweg-Gedächtniseffektes in einer CuZnAl-Legierung benötigten thermomechanischen Behandlung bilden. Diese quantitative Analyse wurde in der hoch-anisotropen β1-Phase (A ∼- 15) mittels Computersimulation des Kontrastes der Versetzungen, die im Mikroskop beobachtet worden waren, durchgeführt. Es wurden interessante geometrische Eigenschaften der Versetzungen gefunden, die weitere Informationen über ihren Ursprung geben.
