Nigeria is located on the coast of western Africa and has a surface of 923,768 square km. It is Africa’s most populous country with an estimated population of about 120 million1 , with an annual growth rate of 2.9%. The country consists of over 400 ethno-linguistic groups. The major languages spoken include Yoruba, Ibo, Fulani, Hausa, Edo, Ibibio, Tiv, Efik, Nupe and Igala.
