Abstract A 53-year-old renal transplant recipient went into hypovolemic shock due to rupture of his abdominal aortic aneurysm. His successful perioperative and postoperative management are described. Fourteen cases of infrarenal aortic aneurysm repair in hemodynamically stable transplant recipients are reviewed with a discussion of management alternatives.
