Sexual disorders also known as sexual dysfunction or sexual malfunction is defined as any difficulty experienced by an individual in their sexual life. The sexual life of an individual or as a couple may include various problems in their normal sexual activity. These sexual disorders can have a profound impact on an individuals perceived quality of sexual life. These disorders can cause in a couples life a matter of extreme distress and an interpersonal strain. Therefore, an assessment of general health and a thorough sexual history including any sexual problems if any is very important. The various sexual disorders can be classified into four categories. These include sexual desire disorders, sexual arousal disorders, orgasm disorders and sexual pain disorders. The cause of sexual disorders in an individual can be multi-factorial. These disorders may arise due to emotional and or physical causes. The physical factors that lead to the sexual disorders include the use of alcohol, narcotics, drugs, etc. Journal Article is sometimes called a Scientific Article, a Peer-Reviewed Article, or a Scholarly Research Article. Together, journal articles in a particular field are often referred to as The Literature.
