Biography

Dr. An-Ping Chen is Research Associate at Mayo Clinic. He completed his graduation from Graduate University of Chinese Academy of Sciences. Dr. An-Ping Chen received his Ph.D. from Chinese Academy of Sciences. Dr. An-Ping Chen has served on many NIH, AHA, AA review panels, has reviewed for many journals and is currently on the editorial board for various journals. Dr. An-Ping Chen has many peer reviewed publications and is funded by several foundations. He has 14 years of experience in genetics, molecular & cell biology and physiology, combining extensive technical, analytical and interpretive skills with practical laboratory experience such as cDNA library screening, TALEN genome editing, optical coherence tomography imaging, etc. Dr. An-Ping Chen research interests include focus at investigating the physiological and pathophysiological roles of anion transporters, mainly in the Na+-bicarbonate cotransporter (NBCe1), by using its knockout mice models and the genome samples of glaucoma patients (from Mayo BioBank).
