Biography

I completed my M.Sc. (Human Anatomy) from Madras Medical College, Madras in 1973 and joined as Demonstrator in Anatomy in September, 1973. Then I joined L.L.R.M. Medical College, Meerut as Assistant Professor in March,1976 and promoted as Associate Professor in 1989. I retired as Associate Professor & Head of Anatomy, L.L.R.M. Medical College, Meerut in July, 2010. At present, I am working as Associate Professor at Muzaffarnagar Medical College, Muzaffarnagar (UP), India. I am very passionate about learning and teaching Anatomy and my students adore me. As a humble contribution I authored a book “Essentials of Clinical Anatomy” Coauthor of a Chapter entitled “Techniques of Linear Endobronchial Ultrasound.” In “ Ultrasound Imaging : Medical Applications” In Tech Publishers, August, 2011. Contributed a chapter on “Pelvic Support Anatomy” for the book “Laparoscopic Management of Prolapse and Stress Urinary Incontinence” Supervisor of about 18 M.D. Anatomy theses and published more than 50 research publications in National and International journals. Reviewer for many national and international journals. Member of Editorial Board of Journal of Anatomical Society of India and Journal of Anatomical Sciences. Awarded Dr. Mahdi Hasan Memorial Gold Medal in Clinical Anatomy for a paper presented at 62nd. National Conference of ASI held at Imphal in 2014. My field of interest is Anatomy especially, Neurosciences, Radiological Anatomy and Gross Anatomy. I am especially interested in studying vascular anomalies by MDCT angiography and MR I. Presently I am studying congenital coronary artery anomalies by MDCT Coronary Angiography. I Collaborate with a Gastroenterologist in the field of Endoscopic ultrasonography (EUS) and Endobronchial ultrasonography (EBUS) and published many articles on the EUS Anatomy of Mediastinum and abdomen.
