Dr. Emilia Mikołajewska

Biography

Emlia is a clinician, researcher, academic teacher and supervisor within rehabilitation and physiotherapy, especially neurorehabilitation and neurological physiotherapy. After her MSc and PhD studies she graduated also from four year governmental postgraduate studies finished with governmental professional title "specialist in physiotherapy", and one-year postgraduate studies "Manager of R&D project". Author of ten books, more than 270 articles and chapters, and many conference presentations covering aforementioned issues. Member of five Editorial Boards, reviewer in 65 scientific journals (more than 360 peer-reviews) and reviewer of grant applications. Emilia is keen on eclectic/mixed approach to intervention in patients with neurological disorders. She develops IT environment of disabled person, she is also inventor in the area of wheelchairs. Emilia is experienced NDT-Bobath therapists in adults'â disorders, NDT-Bobath therapist in children's disorders, PNF in spasticity, kinesiology taping, Cyriax, and many more including both workshops and courses concerning clinical practice, scientific research, and teaching within health sciences. She works both in rehabilitation clinic, research center, and as a lecturer and supervisor. She have conducted more than 50 specialistic courses (more than 1500 hours) so far. She shares her knowledge and experience on ResearchGate, academia.edu, Polish Pcholar Bibliography, etc.
