Fonseca is currently affiliated to Laboratory of Cardiovascular Reactivity, Institute of Biological Sciences and Health, Federal University of Alagoas (LRC/ICBS/UFAL), Maceió, Alagoas 57072-900, Brazil, continuing research in the specialized scientific area of Diabetes mellitus. Dr. Fonseca is serving as an honorary reviewer for Nuclear Medicine & Radiation Therapy & other reputed journals and has authored several articles along with chapters in different books related to Oxidative Stress as an Underlying Contributor in the Development of Chronic Complications in Diabetes Mellitus
