Jinhua Guan

Biography

Dr. Guan has received his PhD in Kinesiology from the University of Minnesota in 1998. Currently, he is working as a Health Scientist for the Protective Technology Branch, Division of Safety Research, National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH). His research has included engineering anthropometry, agricultural safety, and perceptual-motor control. Based on this research he has received several awards and honors, such as: Bullard-Sherwood Award for Research-to-Practice (2014; 2011); Alice Hamilton Award for Excellence in Occupational Safety and Health (2010); NIOSH nomination for CDC’s (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) Charles C. Shepard Science Award (2013); and ASABE (American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers) Superior Paper Award (2012).
