A. Personal Statement
I am conducting an NIH funded dual purpose research program utilizing an ovine model of maternal nutritional stress during pregnancy. The biomedical aspect of our studies evaluates fetal origins of obesity and metabolic syndrome and their associated co-morbidities. The animal agriculture aspect of our studies evaluates the impacts of nutrition during gestation on fetal growth and development as well as offspring health, carcass quality and reproductive performance
