Biography

Dr. Laura Mazilu completed residency training in oncology, and in internal medicine. She has received her PhD in Medical Sciences in Ovidius University of Constanta, Romania, during the period of 2003-2008. Currently, she is working as a Lecturer in Ovidius University of Constanta, Faculty of Medicine, and as the Head of Oncology Department in Clinical Emergency Hospital of Constanta. She is serving as an editorial member for Romanian Journal of Oncology and Hematology, and for Breast Disease Research & Reviewer for journals like Journal of Carcinogenesis and Mutagenesis, and Chemotherapy. She has coauthored 12 journal publications, 10 book chapters, and more than 100 abstracts. She is a member of ESMO (European Society for Medical Oncology), EACPR (European Association for Cardiovascular Prevention and Rehabilitation), ACCA (Acute Cardiovascular Care Association), HFA (Heart Failure Association of the ESC).
