Biography

Subhash Sista is working as a Guest Researcher at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (N.I.S.T), Gaithersburg, Maryland. He have a PhD in Biomaterials from Deakin University, Geelong, Victoria, Australia. He would like to take the opportunity to volunteer in reviewing articles for Journal of Advanced Techniques in Biology and Medicine. He have had experience working on Biomaterials for Bone tissue engineering and worked on Metals (Titanium and alloys) as substrates for osteoblasts proliferation and differentiation in my graduate thesis work with emphasis on their cytoskeletal characterization. His worked also involved surface modification using chemical techniques for enhancing the cell-material interactions. He also have experience in Embryonic and induced pluripotent stem cell characterization. He has around 8 years of research experience with 3 years (Pre and Post Ph.D) of working in prestigious laboratories at the national and international level namely Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology (CCMB), Hyderabad, India as Project Assistant-II and as a Research Scholar at National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), Maryland, USA. Worked on projects pertaining to Stem cell biology, Tissue engineering and regenerative medicine; Protein and enzyme engineering, RNA biology (qPCR). Expertise in quantitative imaging and automated microscopy, flow cytometry, electron microscopy, protein purification and characterization and other biophysical techniques.

Research Interest

His research interest is in Stem cell biology, Tissue engineering and regenerative medicine; Protein and enzyme engineering, RNA biology (qPCR), quantitative imaging and automated microscopy, flow cytometry, electron microscopy, protein purification and characterization and other biophysical techniques.
