Biography
Prof Wilbert S. Aronow received the MD degree from Harvard Medical School in 1957. Currently, he is Professor of Medicine at New York Medical College. Dr. Aronow has edited or coedited 8 books and is currently editing 2 books including the 5th edition of Cardiovascular Disease in the Elderly. He is author or coauthor of 1, 266 papers (644 original research papers, 172 chapters in 96 books, 394 review papers, and 56 editorials); 186 Letters to the Editor or commentaries; and 875 abstracts. Dr. Aronow has been a member of 69 editorial boards of medical journals, an associate editor for 8 medical journals, and a guest editor for 6 other medical journals, and has reviewed manuscripts for 242 medical journals. Dr. Aronow is also currently a member of the American College of Chest Physicians Cardiovascular Disease, Hypertension, and Cardiovascular Surgery Network Steering Committee and a consultant to the American College of Physicians Information and Education Resource (PIER) on the module of aortic stenosis.
