Biography

Prof. Xiaohong Hou has received her PhD in Kochi University of Technology during the period of 2003 to 2006. Currently, she is working as doctoral supervisor in Shenyang Pharmaceutical University. She has successfully completed her administrative responsibilities as director of both pharmaceutical engineering and environmental science department and its experiment center. Her research has included analysis on chemical pollutants, treatment and recycling of pharmaceutical wastewater, study on therapeutic material basis of Chinese medicine and quality control. Based on this research and fellowship training she has received several awards and honors, such as: Science and Technology Research Projects of Education Department of Liaoning Province, the Project Sponsored by the Scientific Research Foundation for the Returned Overseas Chinese Scholars, State Education Ministry, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Large Instrument Sharing Service Construction Special of Shenyang Science and Technology Innovation Fund. She is serving as an expert reviewer for journals like Talanta, Chemistry Journals, Analytical Letters, Journal of Pharmaceutical Analysis, Biomedical Chromatography Journal of Northeast Agricultural University ,Chemical Research and Application. She has authored more than 40 research articles and 2 research books including and . She is a member of American Chemical Society.
