Biography

Prof DANIELE MINARDI has received his MD from the Polytechnic University of the Marches Region, and PhD from University College London. Currently, he is working as Associate Professor in Urology at the Polytechnic University of the Marches Region and Consultant in Urology at the A.O. Ospedali Riuniti of Ancona. He has successfully completed his Administrative responsibilities as Responsible of the Urodynamic Unit and Functional Urology of the A.O. Ospedali Riuniti of Ancona. His primary research interests include urinary tact infections, genito-urinary tumors, kidney transplantation, microsurgery, urodynamics and neurourology, uro-gynaecology, minimally invasive surgery, laparoscopy and robotics. He has received several awards and honors, such as:

? A.A. 1990/1991: Scholarship from the Italian Ministry of the University and Scientific Research to attend the Institute of Urology and Nephrology of the University College and Middlesec School of Medicine di Londra

? 1990: Scholarship “Rodolfo Ferrari” for the research: The role of mepartricine in the metabolism of the intraprostatic epoxicholesteroles; clinical and terapeutic implications”

? 2000/2001: Erasmus Scholarship for mobility of University teachers: I have been invited by Prof. Dimopoulos of the Institute of Urology of the University of Athens to give lectures on “Sacral Neuromodulation in chronic lower urinary tract dysfunctions” (Athens, July 29 – August 3 2001)

? 2001/2002: Erasmus Scholarship for mobility of University teachers: I have been invited by Prof. Mitropoulos of the Institute of Urology of the University of Athens to give lectures on “Female voiding dysfunctions” and on “Sacral Neuromodulation for the treatment of chronic voiding dysfunctions” (Athens, May 11 – 17, 2002)

? 2002: EUSP (European Urology Scholarship Programme) Scholarship to attend the Department of Urology of the Royal Hallamshire Hospital of Sheffield (GB) directed by Mr. C.J. Chapple

? 2002/2003: Erasmus scholarship for mobility of University teachers: I have been invited by Prof. Mitropoulos of the Institute of Urology of the Unviersity of Athens to give lectures on “A critical anlalysis of the functional anatomy of female continence and incontinence” and “Options for the treatment of urinary incontinence and voiding inefficiency” (Athens, May 24 – 30, 2003)
