Many issues and challenges are faced in traditional multicast routing protocol . To deal with it many Branching Point (BP) based multicast routing schemes have been introduced with better features. But these Branching Point (BP) schemes that are proposed have many issues concerning to multicast management related tasks , inefficient tree Construction and excessive lookups during forwarding process of unicast and multicast packet. In this paper we propose a new multicast architecture consisting of a new multicast management entity called as multicast controller (MC). This MC job is to handle all the multicast management related task. Also a Branching Point based Multicast routing protocol (BPM) is proposed to construct multicast tree between the routers in the network.
