An improved synthesis of β-amino carbonyl compounds is described using one-pot three-component condensation of aldehydes, ketones, and anilines in the presence of FeCl3-Silica gel G as an inexpensive and effective catalyst. The present methodology offers 70-94% yields of the product in short time and mild reaction condition with easy work up procedure.
