Isolation of isomeric furocoumarins from the seeds of Psoralea corylifolia Linn. (Family Leguminosae) is being reported for the first time from the variety found in western Rajasthan. On the basis of physical and spectral parameters, i.e., UV, IR, NMR, mass and chemical reactions such as hydrolysis, alkali fusion and oxidation, they have been identified as 2H-furo[3',2'-g] benzopyran-2-one (1) and 2H-furo[2',3'-h] [1-] benzopyran-2-one (2).
