A simple, rapid, and accurate reversed phase High-performance liquid chromatographic (RP-HPLC) method has been developed and subsequently validated for the simultaneous determination of Ramipril (RAM) and Amlodipine Besylate(AML) in Capsule dosage form. The separation is carried out using a mobile phase consisting of Buffer: Acetonitrile (70:30). The column used is Hypersil BDS C8 (150 × 4.6 mm, 5 μm) with flow rate of 1.2 mL/min using UV detection at 210nm. The total run time is 25 min and the retention time of RAM and AML is 5.9 min and 7.5 min respectively. The described method is linear for the assay of RAM and AML over a concentration range of 15- 35μg/ml and 30-70 μg/mL respectively. Results of the analysis have been validated statistically and by recovery studies. The results of the studies showed that the proposed RP-HPLC method is simple, rapid, precise, and accurate, which is useful for the routine determination of RAM and AML in capsule dosage form.
