Embedded System design based on infrared technology by using microcontrolleris important for home appliances. The system senses the Infrared technology from the transmitter source and after receiving signal conditioning; signal is given to the microcontroller. The microcontroller used is IC PIC 16F690, which drives the Triac BT134 for controlling output loads. A working system will ultimately be demonstrated to validate the design. The system made is only a prototype. A larger system can be made using this prototype as a model. In this study, we developed an embedded system which can control home appliances remotely as well as manuallyby using Micro controller. The work has been done with both software and hardware implementation.
