Cardiovascular Risk in Tunisian Diabetic Patients

Background: Diabetes and cardiovascular mortality in diabetic patients present a major public health problem worldwide.
Methods: Framingham Risk Score and European Risk Score to evaluate the cardiovascular status of 100 Tunisian diabetic patients.
Results: On the one hand, there was not a difference between the two types of diabetes. On the other hand, there is a difference between the two used scores.
Conclusion: Using the score for assessment of cardiovascular risk in diabetic patients must be interpreted by many factors.
